Eligibility

4. Service Terms and Conditions

Service Estimates

Initial service estimates are based on preliminary examination. Final costs may vary based on actual condition discovered during servicing. We will contact clients before proceeding with any additional repairs exceeding the original estimate by more than 20%.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of services
  • Accepted payment methods include cash, credit cards, and bank transfers
  • Timepieces will not be released until full payment is received
  • Returned payment fees will be charged for insufficient funds

Warranty

We provide a one-year warranty on labor and replaced parts for completed services. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not cover:

  • Damage from misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs by others
  • Normal wear and aging of components
  • Water damage if water resistance was not specifically serviced
  • Cosmetic issues unrelated to our service work

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, remains the property of Crown & Caliber or its content suppliers. You are granted a limited license for personal use only.

  • User-generated content submitted to us may be used for testimonials with consent

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage discovered during service

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim related to services is limited to the service fees paid. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or business opportunities
  • Sentimental or emotional value of timepieces
  • Market value fluctuations of watches

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about watch history and previous repairs
  • Disclose any known issues or damage to the timepiece
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for valuable timepieces
  • Retrieve completed watches within 60 days of notification
  • Storage fees of $10 CAD per day apply after 60 days

8. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

In the event of any dispute, clients agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting our management team. Most concerns can be addressed through good-faith discussion.

Mediation

If informal resolution fails, parties agree to engage in mediation before pursuing legal action. Mediation costs will be shared equally between parties.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of Kelowna, British Columbia.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our services immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Breach of these Terms of Service
  • Non-payment for services rendered
  • Abusive or threatening behavior toward staff
  • Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation

Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately. Provisions regarding liability limitations, intellectual property, and dispute resolution survive termination.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email to active clients.

Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to new terms, discontinue use of our services.
